Our Standards

Our Evaluators

IAO's accreditation site-visits and evaluation is done in conjunction with GESFWA's world-wide chapters and members. From these chapters certain carefully selected top-tier members are nominated as IAO evaluators in that given regional chapter. They then have the authority to assess their local and regional institutions for accreditation purposes. As per IAO's mission, all evaluators understand their role and take a strong part in upholding global education standards and the prestige that goes with an IAO accreditation.

All About IAO's Accreditation

Accreditation, for any educational institution is of primary concern. No accreditation or accreditation from a less authentic accreditation agency means that the institution is not reliable or recognized enough to support its education and degrees. Before applying for any program of any institute, one must always check the accreditation for that institution and the recognition of the accrediting body. Another critical aspect in this assessment is to check whether all the programs and degrees offered by an institution are accredited or not.

What is Accreditation

Accreditation can be called both a status and a process. A status, because it ensures that an institution or a program meets standards for quality of education pre-defined by an accrediting body. A process, because it guarantees that the institution or program is always committed to self-assessment and self-improvement to meet the standards set by the accrediting body.

Why it is necessary to check Accreditation

Accreditation from an authentic body means that the institution is offering quality education and its degrees are recognized. It ensures that the educational standards of the accredited institution would not deteriorate, which helps cement the institute’s credibility and wide recognition. This ultimately leads to higher acceptance of its degrees and its graduates in the job market.

Periodic re-evaluation by accrediting agencies provides ways to improve education. Also, accreditation is important for the smooth transfer of credits of students among colleges and universities.
