About National Institute Of  Occupational Health

National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH), formerly Occupational Health Research Institute, is associated with World Health Organization (WHO) and intends to diminish health issues from the country. The institute believes that this can only be done through extensive research or education, so the institute has conceded a lot of studies on these issues and has also proposed plenty of control measures. The institute is known for coming up with measures that are affordable and available. Numerous areas have been covered by them such as Environmental Unit, Poison Information Centre, Neurobehavioral Toxicology, Pesticide Toxicology Division and a lot more. They have an expert team of scientists who work effectively on the problems and eventually propose helpful techniques. NIOH has also collaborated with the Ministry of Health and together they have been working on several projects that include silicosis, women in industry, noise pollution and health effects, dust control techniques. The list does not end here; there are a lot many projects that NIOH has been working upon for the benefit of the society.
