About Maharishi Dayanand  University

The Maharishi Dayanand University is a public university. It was established as Rohtak University in the year 1976 with an objective of promoting and imparting disciplinary education in the fields of environment, life sciences, ecological and research. It further aimed to provide state of the art learning to its students to compete in this competitive era. The name of the university was coined after Maharishi Dayanand who was a social reformer. The university was affiliated in the year 1978. The Maharishi Dayanand University is affiliated with University Grants Commissions in India and AICTE. The university has struggled to achieve success in such a short time and therefore has been able to expand its programs and development in infrastructure. The university consists of 27 post graduate programs, 13 faculties and 77 academic programs. The university also offers undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs and doctorate level programs. The Accreditation council has awarded this university with a B++ grade. This has been appreciated by the Executive Council on basis of infrastructural facilities and hence have been highlighted amongst other universities. References Van Baak, M.
