About American University  of Sharjah

The leader of Sharjah and an associate of the Supreme Council of the UAE, Sheikh Dr. Sultan established the American University of Sharjah was in the year 1997. He envisioned the university as a prominent educational institute in the areas of Middle East. The university is intentionally founded on the American institutions of higher education, and is enriched with Arabic culture. Also, the university is associated to the larger procedure of the renewal of academic life in the Mid-East. American University of Sharjah is an autonomous non-profit co-educational institute which is proud of its position as a prominent all-inclusive co-educational university. It serves students from the area as well as from other different areas of the world. Because of providing high quality higher education all through the Gulf region, American University of Sharjah is licensed and its courses are recognized by the higher education commission. At the undergraduate level, the university imparts twenty six major courses and fifty four minor courses along with thirteen programs of master's degrees by means of four academic divisions.
